booking our facilities.
However I regret to inform you that we are not able
to approve your permit application for the requested event on June 23rd.
Much like our outdoor ice skating surfaces The Zero
Gravity Park in Cochrane is a popular, public space and is not available to be
booked out on an exclusive basis. Our intention for such spaces is to
allow inclusive, no charge use for all members of the public during operational
hours. Unfortunately the nature of your request doesn’t line up with
these values. "

I am contacting you regarding the Scooter Competition at the
Cochrane Skatepark. The company that put
it on last year has been denied permission to hold the same competition this
year.
I am really disappointed we won’t be holding the competition
in Cochrane – the park is ideal for doing tricks and for my family to come and
view.
Last year there where at least 20 local Cochrane riders in
the comp, and it brought riders and their families from all over Alberta and
even BC! Everyone had a great time and we all looked forward to this year.
Please help us to put on this great community event (which
costs the Town nothing and brings visitors who may not have come without the
competition being in Cochrane)
